I was barefoot having just taken off my slippers that merit their name. My 2 year old fell down the stairs today at a birthday party right in front of my eyes. My daughter fell down stairs too. He went down two steps on his tummy onto a landing lost his footing and tumbled the rest of the way down.

He has some lumps and carpet burn on his head but that seems to the be the extent. Rolled down them like a movie stunt man and hit the floor at the bottom. He is fine but i am not. I was not a fan of carpeting before moving into my current home where the stuff covers two stairwells and the whole second floor.

I keep replaying it in my mind and crying. There are tons of moms and dads that have had babies fall from changing tables or down stairs or off the bed my first born did that and i am sure there are a number of other typical accidents out there. I screamed when i saw him go over the first step. My heart stood still.

Hi mamas i really need support. My husband and my 13 year old son flew to the stairs but weren t able to catch him. A big awful sound scares jo and the mom as they run to find out a small toddler fell from the stairs. Because my 11 year old step daughter left the gate open.

Kids have accidents no matter how much we put in their path to prevent them.
