Toyota offered to pay for parts if i paid labor not a bad deal since part was 350 but i really dont like to let flat rate techs work on my vehicles i am a flat rate tech myself.

2014 tundra with 28k miles on it had two power lock actuators fail within one month. Warranty has now expired as of mid april 2017 and the other two. So i went online did a little research found that all that goes bad is little motor inside actuator got 4 of. Quite often you will notice a buzzing sound from the door when you the locks are engaged.

My drivers door lock actuator went bad 2 weeks after 3 years at 39 000 miles dealer said no warranty. This is the motor that controls the locking rod. Luckily the vehicle was still under warranty. When a single door won t work any longer it is most likely a bad actuator motor inside the door.
