Paper marbling is an artistic method in which colors floating on a liquid surface are transferred onto paper to create a marbled pattern.
Transfer marble stain to paper.
Cover with plastic wrap.
Cultured marble a mix of marble powder and a polyester resin requires a gentle touch when it comes to cleaning.
Dampen a clean paper towel with the peroxide and ammonia solution and wipe off the pollen stained marble to remove it from the surface.
Then add several drops of a mild cleaning agent to a gallon of warm water wash the area of the spill and rinse it thoroughly.
Clean the surface with water then put the bleach water mixture into a spray bottle.
Mix together 1 4 cup of hydrogen peroxide with five drops of ammonia in a bowl.
Wipe the surface dry with a soft cloth and repeat the cleaning process once again.
The art of paper marbling dates back to the 10th century where japanese artists developed a technique called suminagashi which means floating ink oil based ink is dropped into a shallow pan of water.
Avoid using abrasives which may damage the surface.
Instead use a soft cloth and liquid based stain removers such as vinegar or a mild soap and water to treat many kinds of stains.
Swirl the colours with your stir stick blow on the surface with a straw or use a comb to create marble patterns.
Spray the mold stain and be sure to completely cover the stain with the bleach solution.
Allow the paper towels to wick up the stain without rubbing and wiping it.
Now slather it completely with a paste made from baking soda and water to the consistency of sour cream.
Lay paper towels over the site of the stain on your marble countertop.
Next pour liquid starch into a tray and add drops of paint to the starch to create your design.
To marble paper start by mixing alum and warm water and wiping the solution over your sheet of paper with a sponge.
Remove the paper as soon as it s flat starting at the corner.
Then lower your paper into the starch with the alum treated side down.
Dirt and dust will compress into the marble further scarring or discoloring the surface.
Mix one quart of bleach with one gallon of water.
Let the bleach sit for 5 10 minutes and then rub with white towel.
Before sanding or grinding any marble surface it is important to clean the area thoroughly.
Next spray it with water.
Lay the sheet out to dry.
Carefully lay sheet of paper on the water but don t submerge it.
